GO GREEN Workshops are casual, fun-filled get-togethers with friends. There is no pressure to buy products, though most guests do find something to help them save money and green their lives. While people are familiar with home parties for makeup, purses, and cooking tools, no one has been to a "green workshop,” so it's likely you will be the first of your friends to host such an informative and useful get-together.
Being a host or hostess is easy:
Pick a date and time. Talk to your Eco-Consultant to come up with a date and time that are mutually convenient.
Create a guest list. Provide your Eco-Consultant with the names and email addresses of the guests you would like to invite, or we will provide you with a draft email you can edit and send yourself.
Choose topics to discuss. Before your GO GREEN Workshop, your Eco-Consultant will ask which topics you want to cover, and will tailor his or her presentation to you and your friends. GO GREEN Workshops can include a discussion of local environmental concerns, seasonal topics (such as toxic-free cleaning in the spring), or any combination of the following:
- Energy-efficient lighting
- Energy conservation
- Water conservation
- Water purity
- Indoor air quality
- Toxic-free living
- Waste reduction and recycling
- Reducing your carbon footprint

During the GO GREEN Workshop, you can inspire your friends with the changes you are making to your home. Prepare the snacks. Depending on the time of day, most hostesses offer simple snacks like cookies and coffee, while others may include wine and hors d'oeuvres, and some even turn the party into a potluck dinner.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy! After about 30 minutes of mingling with your guests, your Eco-Consultant will give a short presentation on the green topics you have chosen. Then, your guests can ask questions or discuss green topics of interest to the group. Your Eco-Consultant will make recommendations and accept orders from those interested in buying green products.
